I don't know if it's particular to the support in France, but I experienced few days ago to a questionable pratice of the french Garmin support by loosing the invoice and one year of warranty of my Edge !
I bought a brand new Garmin Edge 1040. Few days after, he brock down totally and the support exchange it by a new one.
First, it's impossible to have the invoice of the new one . Answer of the support is "you didn't bought it, so no invoice" Even an invoice with no amount. So if my insurrance will ask for invoice with the correct serial number, I don't have it anymore.
And worse: the new one have a warranty of only one year instead of the two year of the one I bought.
So it's maybe only in France, but the warranty of 2 years by Garmin.. is only 1 year indeed. A real surprise of Garmin policy here.
