I'm new here on this forum.
I received my Garmin Edge 1040 and I read that you can combine it with a Garmin smartwatch.
I have the Garmin Instinct 2.
I've just completed my first bike ride using the Edge 1040.
But how do I get the heart rate values from my Instinct 2 into the activity that was made with the Edge 1040?
The Instinct 2 is setup as my primary wearable and training device. So normally my activity of my bike ride should include the heart rates measured with my Instinct 2?
I've found a post on the internet saying something about Physio TrueUp, but I don't find it in my settings (of the Instinct 2 and the Edge 1040), but the post is from 2 years ago, maybe it isn't up-to-date anymore....
How do I have to couple these 2 so that when I made an activity with the Edge 1040 the heart rate of the Instinct 2 is visible in that activity?
Or do I have to wait a while before both are combined?
I've synchronised both devices in the connect app on my smartphone...
