No longer getting Audio Alerts

I have Garmin Connect paired with a Edge 1040 Solar. All along I have been getting Audio Alerts but suddenly they stopped. I checked under "Audio Prompts" that I have "Lap Alert" and "Navigation Alert" on. Then when I try to test the "Alert Volume" from within the Garmins Connect app, I get a spinning wheel that does not stop. No alert is played.

Anyone experice this or knows how to resolve the problem?

If I were to unistall the Garmin Connect app and repair with me Edge would I have to enter all the sensor information again?

No, your 1040's settings are stored in the cloud with Garmin Connect

Try restarting your phone. If it is an Android phone, Google recently updated their text-to-speech engine and these updates often break audio prompts from Garmin Connect Mobile for Android.

Thanks Scillonian. Rebooting the Android phone did the trick.

Argh, getting the same with my forerunner, reinstaling Cinnect, restarting phone twice - nothing did a trick. Any other ideas?
