Maximum heart rate not recognized

Hi,

Today during a threshold session, I wanted to push harder at the end of the last set to assess my maximum heart rate.
I noticed that the max heart rate was 173bpm and that it was recorded by Garmin Connect and in the 1040 when I look at the summary, but the 1040 did not record this value it kept the old value which was 170, and he did not recalibrate the zones, yet the auto-detection of the maximum heart rate is activated on the 1040.
Have you encountered this problem?

  • that auto maxHR detection does not detect the real and measured max hr during an activity. that predict your theoratical maxHR from HRV. and even if the measured is higher than the preset value , itRofloesnt modify (because the watch predict less from the HRV, probably it thinks it is just a false spike or there are /more/ criterias which not reached) "interest" feature...
