Bugs noticed in firmware 20.19


I noticed that the final version of firmware 20.19 contains several bugs that were not present in previous final versions and even in Beta versions. The first error is the lack of display of the song's playing time and the lack of artist and song title in the PLAYER widget. The second is incorrect front light control (Bontrager ION 200RT). The lights are set to AUTOMATIC mode, the Garmin Radar RTL515 rear light is displayed correctly and blinks on a sunny day, the front light is constantly lit and should be lit like the rear light.

  • Uninstall the current version of Garmin Connect Mobile (4.77 or 4.77.1) and install 4.76. This fixes the problem with missing song information.

    I reported this error today via the support chat ( I naively thought that GC 4.77.1, released yesterday, fixed this error - unfortunately not) - I learned that there is already a ticket set up for this.

  • Unfortunately, it is impossible to return to version 4.6 CG. Confirm that version 4.77.1 CG and firmware 20.19 E1040 displays the artist and title of the first song from the opened list when playing music and does not change when moving through subsequent songs. Playback time is now displayed correctly.

  • And why according to you is it impossible what I did ? Explain to us.
    P.S. yes, you need to uninstall Garmin Connect, yes, you need to download an older version - e.g. from apkmirror site.

    don't mislead people. Yesterday afternoon I tested on the way home Edge 1040 fw 20.19 with Garmin Connect Mobile Android version 4.77.1 - Doesn't work - zero song name information, zero song timer information. Again uninstalled 4.77.1, installed 4.76 and it works fine. 

  • Checked one more time, iPhone with latest iOS, latest Garmin Connect version and everything is fine with both Apple Music and Spotify apps - song info is displayed, time is sowing and all the controls are working just fine. Could it be the problem is on Android only?
