As soon as it starts to rain my Edge 1040 screens goes haywire, jumping to different screens or the home page. I read that the touch screen is super sensitive and therefore the cause, but surely this is not supposed to happen?

Had the same issue today 85 mile cycle at 50 miles it very heavy rain, screen was all over the place I stopped to put my rain coat on and paused the Garmin and because it was raining so heavy it actually hit the screen and saved my ride 
just wish Garmin would give you the option of joining two rides together for mishaps like this.
other than that I love the new layout over my 1030 plus
