FTP don't decrease

Hi.

I started cycling again a few weeks ago, after a break of several months. I notice that my FTP is not updating, even though it should have dropped by around 100 watts. Do you know why Garmin Edge 1040 doesn't recalculate my FTP?

It seems to only go up and not down. It assumes that your fitness levels will never decrease.

That is not true. Mine went down 2 weeks ago… on the previous firmware

I have automatic FTP detection in my Garmin edge 1040. My version is 20.19
