Edge 1040 solar constantly searching for edge remote draining batteries

Edge remote gets paired and buttons work fine but in the sensors list edge remote status is "searching" while it should be connected. That constant search consumes batteries unnecessary and shortens the batterie life of the edge 1040.

I installed the latest software version 20.19 and still not fixed. Any solutions?

I have the same issue but with a different sensor. Tempe sensor is showing current temp but status shows searching. I installed latest firmware 21.18 on my Edge 1040. Had that problem with edge remote as well. Returned to the seller.

I can confirm, that the remote icon is blinking although it is connected to the Edge, but I don‘t think, it eats extra juice.
I cannot confirm, that Tempe icon blinks when connected. Mine is steady on.

I've just upgraded to firmware 21.18 as well to see if it was fixed but still does it. I have no Tempe sensor so can't comment on that.

It must eat some extra juice but I agree it does not seem to be as significant as I thought initially as I managed to have it running for 12h. Still is annoying and something should be fixed.
