It should automatically go to sleep after 5 mins . It does not. Anyone has this issue? it only goes to sleep only if I press the power button .

Have you enabled "Auto Sleep" for the Profile
Menu>Activity Profiles>[Select Profile[> Auto Sleep (right down the bottom),
If you had it enabled prior to the 20.19 update check again as updates can change some settings.
I have it on in every profile. I did some troubleshooting , i mannually have turned it off and and put it back on. No result
Previous discussions suggest it sometimes takes longer than “5 minutes”, I guess it thinks there is some “activity” that keeps it up late, perhaps solar charging has causes some delay? I get close to 100 hours from my non solar with minimal battery usage settings so don’t think I would ever need auto sleep.
If it is still syncing then it will extended the timeout period.
IF my phone with GC running is conected to garmin it will never go to sleep.
I can confirm mine is doing exactly the same - not sleeping when the ride is finished. No issues before 20.19
Confirmed. No auto-sleep. Thanks for forcing us to be beta-testers. Actually Garmin should pay US for testing!!!
My 1040 is behaving normally, including when connected to a phone via Bluetooth. I don't normally leave the device on for long enough for it to reach that point, but did so today while it was synching after a ride; when I returned to it some minutes later, the device had entered sleep mode.
I carried out a factory reset shortly after 20.19 was installed, because initially the device seemed to be sluggish; that may or may not be relevant, but in any case, the issue others are experiencing is not general, even if it's common.
