My Training effect is always Threshold/Overreaching

Hi all,

Bought an Edge 1040 last year to train in a more targeted way to improve my fitness during cycling.

I'm having a hard time getting to grips with all the functions and possiblities of the edge.

One of which is the training effect. Almost always the primary benefit is listed as Treshold, the Aerobic as Overreaching.

How do I find out if I'm actually training too hard, or Garmins calculations are off?

Heart rate comes courtesy of my Venu SQ, and I'm using a speed en cadence sensor as well.
