does anyone know if it is possible to connect garmin 1040 to bosch ebike intelligent system motor?

No, that is not possible. Bosch has not joined the current ANT+ convention and they do not work together with Garmin like Shimano does. They are cooking their own soup...

Bosch do not want users with 3rd party computers. They promote their own computers Nyon, Kinox etc.
I once had a Bosch ebike with Nyon, but I was used to Garmin Edge. Was a big disappointment. I finally…

I once had a Bosch ebike with Nyon, but I was used to Garmin Edge. Was a big disappointment. I finally changed to Specialized Levo, which supports ANT+.
