Can I edit totals?

Replacing my old 1030 with a new 1040 (arriving in a few days), my question is:

can I edit device totals so that Total Distance and Total Time reflect what I have already done this year, instead of starting from zero?

Unfortunately this cannot be done on the device itself.

You have to edit the file totals.fit of your new device. This can be done easy with fitfile repair tool (not free) - or you send me a PM and I will…
