  • What are your non-save mode settings, back light %, stays on/ off in x seconds, wifi or phone connection?, tracking?
There is nothing magic about battery save mode, this is just a group of settings for battery intensive functions that will give adequate battery saving BUT still be acceptable to a majority of users, these setting DO NOT provide the best battery saving, just better than worst. It is easy to manually set these features to give better battery life than the battery save mode life, this is what you are seeing. My settings can be 20-30 hours better (achieved) than those available using battery save mode. For example battery save mode will set backlight to auto which is actually 30-60% for most conditions, too bright in my opinion so I use 0% during daylight and 10% at night, thus better than save mode setting battery life. Try it, ps my settings are a bit extreme but I get 80 to almost 100 hours (non-solar).
