my garmin edge 1040 wants to reset itself?

so my garmin edge 1040 gives me a message wanting me to reset it when i boot it

it says something like "this will delete all settings and activity profiles" which you can decline

Are any of the buttons stuck down when it is powering on.

Are you touching the screen while it is starting up.

i think some rain maybe touched the screen

does touching the screen reset it?

my garmins touchscreen is pretty sensitive to rain so that might be it

There used to be an option to reset the unit by holding the top left hand corner of the touch screen while powering the unit on.

Must have been on the x30 models. As long as it is not doing it any more I would think you are OK.

yeah what i miss from the x30 models is the 3d map which is like default on the car navigation systems

that sucks
