I have an Edge 1040 Solar, I use it daily and follow a route once or twice a week. I use turn guidance with open ear headphones (Shokz), mostly I like this for long routes but I keep in on for shorter local rides too. I'm a week away from a major ride in deep cold temps, I've been planning to use a wired earbud to get turn guidance with my 1040 and phone stored close to my body to keep the batteries warm during this day+ long event. But I found today that the turn guidance stopped working. I checked for updates, I'm on the latest firmware (19.22), I've tested my normal headphones (and without any headphone, just the phone), nothing. I've double checked the settings and turn guidance is on. I've done a hard restart. I just plugged the 1040 into Garmin Express to check that everything is up to date. If it wasn't for this major event and my plan to keep the 1040 in my jacket, I'd just patiently wait for week (or a few weeks) and have the issue resolved with a new firmware update, but I need this feature to WORK in just a week.
