Today prior to starting a ride I had a Sensor Software Update notification (shown below) pop up. I had not named the device so the only indication I had was the device ID. This meant I had no idea what device wanted to update, so I didn't perform the update.
Would it be possible to show the device type for these sensor updates on this screen?
As far as I'm aware, EDGE units will only update known Garmin sensors, and if they're pulling down firmware for them it shouldn't be difficult to provide the device type. eg: Sensor Type: Radar / Speed / Power / HR / etc. If it's something minor such as a HR sensor update, I'll leave it... if it's something that I'd consider more critical such as the radar, I'd have made time to ensure the update was installed prior to the ride.
