This is a strange issue that has been bugging me for a whilte to the point that I contacted Garmin Support and as ususal they promptly reply with the following:
"Thank you for contacting Garmin Support. We are happy to help you.
I checked with our engineering team and the Edge 1040 cannot be set lower than 10% brightness, it's just that way by design."
So according with GARMIN, I cannot use the slider (look at image) to turn off the brightness to ZERO...just 0%, does this makes sense ? can someone test this behaviour on their own devices ?
