Why is the training load display shifted left by a day?

I know it's a meme for people off work between Christmas and New Years, but seriously... what's going on with my Edge 1040?

I noticed it recently, and for several workouts since, it remains off by a day. Last week, each day the Exercise Load displayed at the end of the activity shows the load applied to the wrong day (one day earlier.) Example this graph (pic attached) should show exercise on Friday,Saturday, and Sunday which is when I actually exercised, but instead it is showing Thursday-Saturday.

The same thing happened again yesterday (My Garmin Connect activity is recorded correctly as occurring on Thursday January 4, but displays wrong on the 1040 as if it occurred on Wednesday.) Pic Attached. Both pics show the exercise load shifted one day to the left.

Can you help me fix this?

  • Is this only in the highlights after saving the activity, or also on the "Exercise Load" page (which you can access through the "Acute Load" glance, for example)? The latter looks good in my case. If it's shifted in your case, could this be some timezone mismatch? What timezone are you in and what is your "upload time zone" in Garmin account settings?
