How works navigation?

Hi, I am new to edge products. I really can't manage to navigate anywhere. I have selected a profile like Gravelbike, select the map and can't manage to find a menu where I am able to type in an address. I read that the user experience was updated but this isn't straight forward like one would do it on a smartphone. I am really confused.

Have you looked at the owners manual that came in the box? Look at page 28 (Navigating, Navigating to a Location) and following but scan the whole thing to understand what the 1040 can do for you, understanding…

There are hundreds, maybe thousands of videos on setup up and using Garmin devices including 1040 specifically , you could start with some of the review videos produced around June 2022 from prominent web reviewers, dc rainmaker, gplama, desfit……..
