It Christmas Day and my Brand new Garmin Solar 1040, ride and activity will not start. The software is up to date, it's been synced, all my sensors are good and the satellite signal is good, but I cannot start a ride. There is no start symbol on the screen. When I begin to ride, there is a blue start symbol flashing on the screen. When I press it, the screen just darkens for a few seconds and the blue start symbol starts flashing again. The timer does not start. I've been riding up and down my street all morning trying to get it to work. To no avail, I've abandoned my ride now, trying to find a fix. I have strong satellite signal too. Any advice would be great. Merry Christmas and thank you in advance. Kin regards, Paul
PS: I took the device off my bike briefly and a green start symbol appeared and the timer started. Then I could'nt stop it. The start and stop symbol had disappeared again.
