Training suggestions do not consider HRV-Status at all

My HRV-Status (measured during sleep wit Garmin Instinct 2) is verly low today and reflects my body feeling,

The daily training suggestion does not consider my bad HRV status and still suggests a Threshold workout. The suggestion system does not make any sense in that way.

  • Whilst in principle I agree with you, my own experience with Garmin HRV results (1040 with Garmin Dual HRM) is that they're insufficiently reliable to be anything more than guidance; I'm not sure I'd want an automated training decision to follow it too closely.

  • The HRV results measured with my instict 2 watch are much more reliable then my results i got from the single measurements with 1030/Dual HRM in the past. I can see when i‘m getting ill very reliable. Tested this for approx. one year now.

  • Ah, well - that's good! Shame the 1030 / 1040 can't compete in that respect. I guess the number of users in your position might be relatively low, but really it should be there at least as an option for HRV to influence suggested training, as you say.

  • This is exactly what I mean. Garmin is selling the idea that you buy all the equipment from them and that they provide you with optimized training. It seems that wearing a garmin watch during sleep is no advantage over wearing any other sleep tracker.
