I think there are obvious problems with the 1040 series and Varia radars. Lots of reported problems. New 1040 software is not fixing the issues, the Varia still disconnect and reconnect constantly on rides. My Varia 515 is on the latest software there (3.33) so I don't know what to do, but it's rather annoying.
+1 here. My 1040 is practically useless as it keeps on dropping my Radar RTL515. Mine is also stuck at v3.32 despite the Internet suggests there is v3.33. I have tried to connect it to the Garmin Express to no joy.
