Broken Wireless Firmware - All Connectivity dead!

Hey there,

after an Firmware Update all Connectivity of the Edge 1040 is dead - wo Wireless, no BT to Phone and no ANT to my Sensors ... ?
Could it be the Firmware killed something?
I noticed a weird "Wireless FW Version" in the System Information - could someone please send me a Screenshot of how it looks on your Device?

Apart from 19.19, the rest of mine is identical to yours, except the Wireless firmware version - mine shows 1611.2.8.0.1.5-2805. Looks as though that's your issue.

Was also at 19.19 - but tried if downgrading would fix the issue.
Now the Question - how to get Wireless Firmware Patched up to a working Version again?!?
Was broken when Firmware 19.17 was installed ... 19.19 didn't help also ... :-(

I'm reluctant to offer advice, because I have no real idea. However, if I couldn't get decent, informed advice I think I'd try Garmin Express to see if that offers any firmware updates, and - if not - I'd then try a factory reset. Apologies if that's really obvious and you've already done them.

I'm away at present, but when I get home I'll have a look at my file structure and see if there are any identifiable files we might be able to compare for presence, etc.

Garmin Express did offer update to 19.19 again - executed the update - but unfortunately didn't change anything :-/
Also Factory Reset didn't change anything :-/

Would be great if you could maybe fine something related to this on the FileSystem.

How does the WIFI Folder look like at your Device?

or RemoteSW?

No GCD file in RemoteSW, but the BIN file looks (from the outside) to be comparable:

WIFI directory looks essentially identical. There are no files in the subdirectories.

I wonder if that GCD file is what you need, and it failed to install / extract correctly? Possibly worth copying it to a different drive and deleting it, and seeing what happens?

This is Fenix-related, but appears to be a similar problem to yours - 6s Pro stuck on 9.0 firmware (won't upgrade and no GPS (version 0.00 GPS) - fēnix 6 Series - Wearables - Garmin Forums

yea thank you ... I guess you are right - I would also say the problem is the (seems like) broken Wireless Firmware Update ... but no idea how to get a Firmware Version with a working Update for the Wireless ... since Garmin stopped downloadable Firmware PAckages like they do with the Fenix Series.
Also contacted Garmin Support - but no answer so far :-(

I haven't used them often, but I've found Garmin Support in the UK to be very good. I hope they're able to help you.
