Notifications on device connect / disconnect

Is it possible to turn off the notifications on the phone for every connection to the device and disconnection? I'm getting these on my iPhone and I don't really understand why this would be useful and I would like to switch this off. I'm getting these only for the Edge 1040 - not for the Fenix 7 watch and I never had these notifications with the Edge 1030

  • I totally agree with you. I really do not care about joining a race when I log into the app on my phone. I am a recreational rider that uses the 1040 and app just for fun rides and when riding mtb in the woods, tree and open areas. The message about the weather when logging out seems to me like a bug. I have app set up to use weather info while using app and the weather info on the 1040 works great for me. Got me out of T-storm issues a few times while riding. Since 18.25 update, these notifications started to pop up. I know Garmin wants this 1040 and Garmin Connect to be designed for fitness-oriented individuals, but there are lots of others out there that just want a 1040 that geared for riding, not racing and wondering how to burn the max calories. I like some of the fitness items, but I just like to ride and have a tool that tells me about traffic when riding on city streets and roads and to know where I am at when out in trees and opened sage and prairie. Maybe Garmin needs to setup selections for each rider categories that works for recreational rider. That means we need more selections in our setup for rides and types of rides. More configuration options for "Road" and "MTB" selections.
