18.25 still needs restart to connect sensors

Hi,

I'm training at the moment indoors with my 1040 and sometimes I need a full reboot to connect my sensors (all Garmin sensors).
It's really annoying that this bug is still not fixed. Really strange is that I can calibrate my power meter (rally) and start the workout and every sensor is gone.

  • I concur that I have the same issue and that it's still very insulting that I paid so much for a dedicated device that doesn't accomplish this basic step of "connecting to sensors" unless I reboot it each time I stop while on route.

  • Out of interest, before doing a reboot, have you tried a manual scan of sensors?

That is, from Home Screen pull down from top to see Widget settings and touch the 'circular arrows'  on right of screen next to Sensors Tab?

I do this sometimes to force the unit to look for a sensor that I want to introduce mid-ride. For example, I bring out a Varia Light when I need to?

  • I can confirm.

Usually I never turn-off the device, I just put it to sleep.

If I wake it up the next day, the sensors are connecting.

But +-2 minutes into the ride everything disconnects.

The only way to get it working again is rebooting the device.

And the the connection remains stable for the whole ride

Scanning or tapping "Connect" on the sensor doesn't help.

  • 19.19 is not fixing the problem! Updated and it‘s not connecting to my tack neo 2t. Need a full restart
