Route Calculation Error after Firmware upgrade to 18.25

After upgrading to the new version of firmware (18.25), I am getting “route calculation error” any time I want to start navigation. It does not matter if it is a course, or simply “most direct route” back to start, I always get the same error code. Is anyone else experiencing this? I noticed this was an old bug, so looks like the test case may not be included in Garmin’s CI/CD environment.

if i switch to another navigation method e.g. road, or mixed surface it worked again. But not in any case. Probably doesn't help much...

I had this error today but after deviating from the course. Loading the course anew didn't help and even 100 meters before reaching the planned route the 1040 didn't try to calculate a new course. The map was complete and mixed surface was setup (streets were asphalted anyway). At least when reaching the planned route everything worked again.
