Workout plan, wrong workout.

My 1040 on Sunday was showing me on the widget on the home page that it was Wednesday and a rest day. When I went into the workout plan the 1040 was showing Sunday correctly, but the wrong workout. Meaning it was showing a day off and the workout was scheduled and I could see it in the GC app on my phone.

  • same problem, this gps is a mess

For me the week starts on Tuesday even though the setting is Monday, and I often have to restart the GPS to see the correct training displayed or delete all the training and restart the GPS and then it works. (trainerroad training)

Before the 18.XX updates, the daily suggestions corresponded well to the FR945 watch, now the suggestion is different from the watch and no longer takes into account the intensity of previous exercises.

example, the day before yesterday I did a bike ride which required 48 hours of rest according to the 1040 and the FR945, the suggestion for the next training of the 1040 was to do sprints, and the suggestion of the FR945 was to do a training of base, which seems totally logical to me.

In short, more bugs and bugs, a GPS where you always have to ask yourself questions why we still encounter problems after a year of marketing, it's a shame for Garmin!!!

  • Same issue here… Fenix 6 pro shows 30 minute recovery, 1040 shows 1:06 threshold on main screen. However when I select the workout on the 1040 it shows a 30 minute recovery ride…

  • Hi, I have a similar issue: on my 1040 it shows the day as being one day later. Eg: today we're Monday but the workout day is shown as being Tuesday. However, if I then press "training" and look at "training plan" or "daily suggested workout" the day is correct (i.e. Monday).

It's annoying but I cannot find anywhere to change it. Even if I change the week beginning... it is still one day later which is highlighted as being "today".

    Any suggestions welcome.

    TIA

  • Yes, I've given up even trying to rely on the unit to dish up the right workout. the only reliable way is to save an appropriate workout to the device and load it manually. As you say, it's clearly a bug.
