It could be that you have a regional unit that does not have the update yet. Where are you located.

The Asian model is currently at 17.29

I am from india. I have 1040 bundle . I am on version 17.26 now

Garmin loves to cheat us and tell lies about software availability. If it means having to suffer bugs a few months extra, then so be it. Unfortunately they don’t tell you that before you buy.
