Edge 1040 Battery Drain

What brightness did you have the screen set to? What firmware version is it on?

Hello,

i have 1040 solar since 6 month, battery life was nearer 35h,

but since i upgrade firmware to 18.23 battery life is near 12h...

very strange

Auto brightness set about halfway. Lastest software version 

I see a new software release has just come out. I’ll update and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for your suggestions 

I had an issue about ten weeks ago when (with nothing in my setup had changed, and the only significant difference was that it was my first ride with the device outside of the United Kingdom) my device used about 50% in one two-hour ride, which is about 1000% of normal battery drain. I made sure I rebooted the unit before my next ride, and the problem has never recurred. I still have no idea what was the cause. 

Hello, i test again with auto brightness, it's ok 

So I logged a support call with Garmin. I was asked to complete a ride with logging enabled and upload the log. The device is now being recalled for replacement
