After disconnecting from computer (edge 1040) to updated data with garmin connect, the device doesn’t start but I see only screen “loading courses, workouts etc” I need to restart the device.

Hold down both buttons and press power on
But this way I switch off the device. In my opinion the computer bike should start working without any interference.
I’m not suggesting this is normal behaviour
If you're on device software 18.23 you might want to update to 18.25, one of the fixes in this version is "Fixed issue that could cause a bootloop".
