I tried the Karoo for the month and a half of test period, before sending it back to buy a 1040 solar. Pretty pleased with it mainly, but how do something as simple as being able to select which sounds are on and which are off isn't available ? Even though the 1040 is a better unit than the Karoo, this lack of personalisation is pretty frustrating, for me and the people riding with me... We are all different, I'm pretty sure I don't have the same needs and desires as all the other users, so why can't we chose the sound we consider useful and deactivate the ones we consider useless ?
For example the dangerous turn sound, it bothers me so much as it can be confused with the sound of a coming car. I'd love to have my varia as mainly the only sound coming from my unit as it's what I consider "urgent" and the pop-up to tell me there is a coming dangerous corner is enough for me, I don't need a sound to grab my attention for it.
And I don't even talk about the music that was playing for every climbpro achieved 
Some people probably liked it, from what I've seen on different forum, some (a lot) doesn't, but as we like the feature itself we have to deal with it. Even the sound, I consider it useless, I'm grown up enough to know that I'm entering a climb or that I'm on top of it.
Just a menu (that is more or less already there) listing all the feature associated with sounds, and a toggle next to each of them to activate/deactivate specifically depending on the needs and desires of the user.
