My garmin 1040 solar bricked itself after updating.

My 1040 garmin is now in an infinite loop of booting and turning OFF after updating from the device it self. Any known fix to this? Thanks in advance.

Try powering on with both buttons also held down.

Same here. Ended up in a reboot loop. Had to factory reset (Push Lap+Start, Keep pushed + press power on, release Lap+Start)

ive those manoeuvres. Didnt work for me. Ive now sent it for replacement. Thanks for the response guys.
