Respiration Rate

Ive just moved from a 1030 Plus to the standard 1040 (non solar).

Currently use my Fenix 6x for hear rate tracking.

Ive noticed that the 1040 doesn't record the respiration rate and the 1030 Plus does.

Is this a bug?

I think you will find you need a chest H/R sensor connected to the Edge . That's what I do and it works.

It needs HRV data, which think can only come from a HR strap

The strange thing is that it's been working fine with the 1030 plus and the Fenix 6x. Changed to the 1040 and this no longer works with this set up.
