Big Ascent on the route does not show on climb pro without preload route

Why my Edge 1040 does not show me the first ascent (which is the largest) and when I upload the activity to garmin connect, this ascent does not appear either. I have marked "all the ascents" to show. I am beginningt o think that the problem is about the GPS signal but I have it in maximium precision. IThis is the activity where this problem is happening. And every day I ride this route is the same.

It is map classification issue. I have passed this information on to Garmin. Hopefully they can do something about it in the next map update.

If this first climb does not have a Climb Pro section on the saved Garmin map, then it will not appear in the activity log entry either.

This section because of his distance and slope must be saved in the garmin map as an climb pro ascent.

The ClimbPro map is used for climb browsing and for climb branching when on a climb. The in ride climb detection uses the routable map data in combination with the DEM data to project a climb.

There looks like there maybe some type of data issue with that section of road in the map. I have raised a ticket with Garmin on it.

Thanks, I think I know what happen in this section and in other similar. I have the "keep on road" (I don't know if in English is called on this way) and today I repeat the route and in this section the triangle with my position was not in this road, I think this option keep me in a near road and this is the problem. Think this could be the cause?. I don't know anyway why the edge keep me in the near road and no in the road where i go. I was with the max precision mode in the edge. Keep me with information and thanks.

The keep on road is purely a UI feature where it snaps the track to the road. It does not adjust the underlying GPS position data.

I think there is a problem with the OSM map data on that road and the Edge is not able to project a path up that road.

That looks like could be some positional offset. Is that plot from the same activity you posted?

When I look at your activity I don't see that offset.

The only section I see a problem is here, where there were a series of GPS dropouts that resulted in a straight line
