Bug in heat acclimation?

Yesterday I rode for 9h of which 8h were over 22 degrees celcius and almost 7h were over 30 degrees.

After my ride, heat acclimation dropped 3%.

In Garmin connect a temperature of 17 degrees is shown on the map of the activity. I guess that was the temperature when the ride started. It's a pity that Garmin shows this as temperature for the whole ride. But even worse, it seems that this value is taken into calculation of heat acclimation.

And according to the documentation, heat is also taken into account for VO2 max and all other performance related calculation. So maybe all this is wrong?

Can Garmin please have a look into this? Or where can I open a bug request?

Two things to keep in mind. Firstly the unit needs to be paired with a phone as it needs humidity information for the calculation. Secondly it uses the temperature reported via the weather station and not that detected and reported by the Edge.

Thanks. The edge was connected the whole ride.

I also read the documentation about the source. For sure also the weather station measured temperature was over 22 and then 30 degrees. There is a heatwave in Europe.

What training effect did your rides have? When I was touring (long rides, but low training effect) in the heatwave, my heat acclimation was dropping. When I resumed my training (shorter, but more intense rides) it immediately started increasing again.
