Pinned routes from RideWithGPS no longer downloading

I’ve always been able to just go to Pinned Routes in the Connect IQ RideWithGPS application and download the routes.

However, the last few weeks, I can’t get any pinned routes to download. They just say “Loading” for a long time and then eventually just says “Error loading route”. I’ve tried it on and off of WiFi with the same results.

Is anyone else having issues? This was working fine for months on both my 530 and my new 1040, but just stopped working all the sudden. My RWGPS app is up-to-date as well as I’ve checked it today on GarminExpress.

If it's a new/different device, I believe you need to go to those RWGPS routes, un-pin them, then pin them again.

My Garmin 1040 was full of rides and stopped downloading. Maybe yours is too. Just delete some old ride routes under "courses" and your Garmin should start allowing you to add routes again.

I have the same issue. None of my ridewithgps pinned courses are showing up on my new 1040.

I got this exact same problem yesterday. Has worked fine for years. I deleted all my routes. Disconnected rwgps from Garmin and reconnected. No joy.

I had to unpin them in RWGPS and then pin them again to get them to come over.

Me too. Unpinning and repinning also does not work for me. I'm leaving for a long tour in a month and finally invested in this device (previously just used my phone which was a pain for weeks and months of riding), and I don't understand why such an expensive device can't do the most simple aspect of it's design--download a map to use to navigate?

Call Garmin. They were very helpful for me.
