insert a pause place in a route

hello there,
I'm using a predefind route for a groupride and now I want to insert a pause place for coffee break. Is there a way to inert it in the route so I get some kind of a popup when reaching it?

This in Garmin terminology is called a Course Point.

Where are you building the course. Quite a few sites allow you to add a course point.

The course is already built by someone else, but I have it as a gpx file. So I can insert that adress as a course point and it will show up on my Edge?

Browse to https://connect.garmin.com/modern/courses where you can import the .GPX file and then populate Course Points of your choice. Save the course and upload to Garmin.
