I recently started testing Power Guide. There is one thing that really annoys me when using it.
When riding, I'm unfortunately not on a closed track. I have to stop for traffic lights, intersections etc. Every time I stop my Garmin takes what feels like ages to go in auto-pause (maybe it's only 5 seconds but I'll explain why it feels so long). In normal rides it never bothered me, but here you have a target power and a split average power. The problem is every time I am forced to stop my split average power drops by 10-15 watts before the device goes in auto pause (I can see it counting down and I'm just waiting for it to stop doing that). When I start riding I push a much higher wattage than what is required because I'm getting up to speed. However this high wattage is not taken into account as it happens in the window that my Garmin device uses to detect I am moving again.
This is pretty frustrating as it becomes impossible to hit those avg targets without riding a lot above them.
