I would like to leave an official INPEAK position on the existing problem.
We are aware that there is a problem in connectivity between Edge 1040, Edge 840, Fenix 7, Forerunner 955, and power meters. This problem affects not only users of INPEAK power meters but also other manufacturers. We are trying to help diagnose the problem, as there are no problems on older Garmin devices.

For users who are affected by this problem, we have prepared a hotfix in the form of a firmware update, which temporarily changes the ANT+ ID of the power meter to one which the new series of Garmin devices accept to cooperate. To receive such an update, please contact INPEAK support. I would like to point out that this is an ad hoc, temporary update until the problem is fixed globally by Garmin/INPEAK.
We are trying to help diagnose the problem and resolve it as soon as possible. We will keep INPEAK users updated.
