I've selected a new exercise route that includes some private gravel roads, so I purchased the Topo 24k West map. Wow, it's a serious upgrade beyond the stock Cycling map with way more detail like shading, approaching turn points and the elevation, i.e., ascent vs descent balanced whereas before with the cycling map it always had at least 5-ft of closing error upon completion of my workout.
Using a computer I backed up all of the Edge 1040 folders, then I removed all of the Cycling and Trailforks maps.
I currently have the following:
--Topo 24k West
--Digital Elevation map(s)
--US Geocode map
--US Time Zone map
Question: What maps do I really need?
