so i went on a 5 hour ride today with a bunch of friends. Started the ride on Edge 1040 and it worked as expected throughout the ride.
when I got back to the final stop, it just went back to the home screen with no prompts or any message. I did not do anything with the device at that time.
nothing in activities on the device, Garmin Connect shows nothing either.
I checked the folders when connected to a computer, there's no file in Activities or NewFiles.
There are however 2 small files in "Adjstmts" that match the time stamps of when I started / stopped. But the files are only 519 bytes.
Not a very pleasant experience using it the first time. But my friends are using 1040 and 1030, all of them are fine.
I have Garmin power sensor / speed sensor as well as "watch link" heart rate sensor via Apple watch connected.
Firmware had been updated to the latest just this morning as it prompted for a new update.
