The new auto-ClimbPro feature is great, but is there any way to disable it during a workout? I often do intervals on a climb, so every time I turn around it re-detects the climb and switches away from the workout screen.

Yeah, segments don't pop up during a workout. Climbs probably shouldn't either.
Agree with you ! Garmin should deactivate it during workout.
I had to disable it due to this issue, it would pop climbpro approaching a climb, then I’d swipe back to interval screen, then Garmin would switch back to climbpro when I hit the climb. Huge pain and I…
I had to disable it due to this issue, it would pop climbpro approaching a climb, then I’d swipe back to interval screen, then Garmin would switch back to climbpro when I hit the climb. Huge pain and I don’t feel like digging into activity settings 4x a week to change it up
I had read about this idea and wanted to try it but forgot about it until this morning. Total game changer!
I made a Workout Activity Profile and even remade the workout data screen to be better than the Garmin premade.
I turned off all climbpro and strava segments.
I still enable Garmin workout screen to display when a workout is active. This allows you to swipe up and look at the WO steps and FF or rewind in you need to. But really making my own WO page is so much better.
TIME TO GO counts down the WO interval time left with a full size number that doesn't get covered by the pop-up telling you it's about to end. This number is synced with the workout steps and acts correctly for the next interval step or recover until the next step
Full size POWER date field that you can select instantaneous power (the graphical display only shows 3 sec power)
GRAPHICAL - POWER GRAPH displays the same target display as the original Garmin WO page (3 sec power).
Then I have four more blocks to display other things I like to look at through the tears of my workout.
For me this is better in every way. Also I was able to switch back to my regular Road Bike Activity profile mid ride to get home.
I'm using Edge 1040 Solar with the latest beta software, Android Phone, Trainer Road app pushing my Trainer Road workout to my Garmin
No it doesn't. it just stops at "0:00". Pressing the lap hard button will cycle it to the next interval.
I will admit this self made WO page requires you to know what your workout is, but you can flip to your Garmin WO data page to see what's going on if you forget.
With the latest beta software update the power target range has disappeared from the POWER GRAPH data field. So I am reviewing all interval times and target power before the workout anyway
In the beta build 18.15, ClimbPro if active, now does not push you to the ClimbPro page. It will start the Climb and add the page, but will not move you off your current page.
