Edge 1040 (17.29) not enough free memory?

My Edge has 1.42gb free memory and Express is offering me a trailforks map update with about 159mb. But Express is telling me, there is not enough free memory on my device?

Deleted the old trailforks map manually and no prob to install the new one via Express- but should have worked directly via Express, because enough free memory is available!

Map updates are routinely a complete nightmare - god only knows why Garmin seem unable to fix this simple enough issue !
