When I search for any nearby destination when following a course, all listed destinations are shown as straight ahead. This is not the case with any other Garmin Edge product I've owned. Nor is it the case with the Edge 1040 when not following a course. This is a hindrance when seeking resupply and caught me by surprise on a recent ultra-cycling event. Attached is a screenshot of nearby coffee shops while I was riding West yesterday. The listed shops were off to the North and South and not ahead of me to the West as the arrows on the screen would lead me to believe.
P,S. It would be nice to filter destinations to be within a user specified tolerance of the course ahead. I know I'm dreaming.
