1040 won't talk to RWGPS

On Friday I created a route in RWGPS and used Garmin Connect IQ to transfer it to my 1040. NO problem

I'm trying to do the same again but now all I get is a red screen saying "Waiting for phone connection".

No updates that I know of to Phone, Garmin or RWGPS, so what is going wrong?

I've just tried to uninstall the RWGPS app with a view to reinstalling it, but now it doen't appear on the permitted list - there are only 7 allowed, none of which I use.

I've been to Garmin Connect and when I try to reinstall RWPS it will only do it when phone syncs. I've synced the phone but nothing happens. The app remails queued on my phone and won't move.

And now I've just done a short ride using my 530 and that won't talk to garmin Connect never mind RWGPS.

What is happening?

Finally got the route uploaded the long winded way using a cable.

RWGPS till will not be recognised, Garmin Connect keeps saying it will do so after syncing but won't sync.

Garmin IQ seems to have frozen.

Now here is something completely silly...

One screen in Garmin Connect says that my 1040 is connected.

The next screen says that it isn't connected.

Sounds like a Garmin lash up.
