Strava segments

des que je commence un parcour impossible de charger les segments strava  le smartphone étant bien connecte

  • Same issue, Strava segments don’t appear

  • Same story! This device is full of bugs.

  • avez vous résolu  ce  problème , malgré plusieurs reset   cela ne  fonctionne toujours pas , impossible  de se  connecter à  live segments 

  • CAN WE PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE FROM GARMIN LOOKING INTO THIS!
    WE PURCHASED A 700 EUROS DEVICE AND A BASIC FEATURE LIKE SEGMENTS DO NOT WORK!

  • Just to re-cover basic ground re segments:

    1. If you are following a course, segments will not appear unless the course was created on Strava (lousy limitation, and one not applicable to Wahoo or Karoo units).

    2. In the Activity Profile settings, make sure that the line item for Segments is toggled on (i.e., enabled).

    3. Do you have the Segment Explore widget (i.e., when you pull down from the top of the screen) enabled in the System/Widgets setting? Not needed for Segments (I believe), but it could tell you whether your unit is seeing them and syncing them. Also, before giving up with populating the widget, it's worth disconnecting your Edge unit and phone completely by forgetting the phone on the Edge unit and deleting the Edge unit in Garmin Connect on your phone, as well as the bluetooth entries on your phone for the Edge unit. Then try pairing the phone and unit again and seeing if the widget populates.

    4. Another test of whether the segments are being seen/synced, is to go to the map page and pull up the map "underlay" from the bottom center of the screen. If segments are enabled there, they should show as green lines on your map display (although this setting does not, I believe, affect whether segments actually pop up when riding, which I believe is your concern).

    5. Finally, I presume you pay for a Strava premium account? Strava segments (without painful workarounds) will not work without one.

    Good luck. Segments work fully on my unit (17.26), so it's possibly settings or premium issues on yours?

  • merci pour votre réponse , mais  mon  soucis c est que des  que  je  déclenche le  chrono je  n'ai plus  accès aux  segments .ils sont visible uniquement chez  moi en wifi

    Thanks for the info. Below are my answers.

    1. Very lousy indeed, these are the annoying things that convinced me to sell my new device.
    2. Yes, the toggle is on all the profiles.
    3. Yes, the widget is on. Also, I unpaired my device from the iPhone several time, no improvements for me. What I noticed is that, in order to have the list of segments in the widget, I have to open the widget before beginning the ride and wait some time to load. Then, after starting the ride, the segments show for some time and later disappear. I guess becuse of the location change. It feels like that the garmin or the iPhone cannot receive or send the info via Buetooth.
    4. Sometimes I see them, sometimes I don't. It's totally intermittent. The operating system is extremely unreliable and buggy.
    5. Yes, I have the premium.

    Well, lucky you. My device is so buggy.

    Also, are you planning to make segments available for non-strava routes too?

  • bonjour ce que  je ne  comprends pas c est  que  cela fonctionne très bien avec  mon 1030 et rien  sur  le  1040 , les  réglages garmin  strava  sont  les mêmes 

  • I have Strava segments synced to my 1040, and when I ride a route created in Garmin Connec), the 1040 shows a marker at the start and end of the segment. However, I don't get an automatic screen like I used to on my previous Edges that appears when I hit the segment and shows my realtime performance against my PB.

    Meanwhile, I've not set up anything on my MARQ II (Fenix 7), but it appears on there no problem. I can't really be looking at my watch when I'm trying to nail a new PB though!
