Understanding ClimbPro - build 17.09

This link has some useful information that helps explain how the new ClimbPro feature works

support.garmin.com/.../

  • This issue I think is specific to the map configuration on your device. Let's move the discussion over to Private Messaging.

  • How can i turn off the music at completing a climbpro cilmb? Its very annoying.

  • Currently there is no individual tone control per feature

  • A forum member found the (my?) issue/ the solution:

the minimum difficultity was set to "uncategorized": no icons in the map visible, with min setting to category 4, I see the icons on the map now,

I don't know if I missed that in the documentation or if it's just not described there.

  • It maybe to do with the map zoom level. I see you have it set to 800 meters

The display of the red mountain icons is controlled by two things. The map page ClimbPro overlay settings in the map tray and the map page zoom level.

First, for a climb start to show it must pass the ClimbPro overlay filters. Then there is a second level of filtering that is in place to stop the map getting too crowded with red mountain icons. This is based on the map page zoom level. As you zoom further out the filter will progressively hide climbs by working up the climb categorization scale. • It could be that the map zoom level filter is not working quite as it should. Let me try it.
