Is there Edge 1040 map or navigation settings to prevent my 1040 from zooming out and the map reverting back to facing north?

Is there Edge 1040 map or navigation settings to prevent my 1040 from zooming out and the map reverting back to facing north up every time I stop while following a saved mountain bike course?

When I stop at a mountain bike trail intersection while following a saved course the 1040 map rotates or defaults to true north.

This makes it really difficult to take the correct trail at any intersection so I can stay on the course that I’m following.

That sounds like the trailhead feature is enabled.

Look under the profile you are using MTB/CX -> Forksight

Yes the ForkSight is on by default on my 1040.

Do you think if it’s turned off it will fix the problem I’m asking?

I don’t think I mentioned that I don’t use TrailForks but use a custom Strava or Garmin Connect created route or course that I download to my Edge 1040.

Forksight when on will set the map north and zoom in when you stop.
