Garmin Connect wrongly calculate my age

I was born in 1974.

I put in my my birthday and all and Garmin shows this. How come 2023 - 1974 = 48?

  • Check your birth date.  According to the birth date you have entered, you are 48 years 9 months 7 days old today.  Ages are rounded down.

  • The problem is that my previous Fenix 6 and even this Forerunner 955 used to display 49, means I'm currently in my 49, have passed my 48. Until 2 days ago. First, there was a message on screen saying "an error  has occurred". I removed the app and reinstalled it. The message has gone and this happens.

    There must be something wrong.

And by the way, in every day life, using your ID or submitting you CV or filling some registration form, no one would accept that interpretation. Even would not accept that :))))))))

  • I don't know what country you're in and that may be the issue but in the United States your birthday is the date that you turn the next age. In other words you're 20 years old until your birthday and you become 21. That's the age you're able to drink legally, not the day before.

Is it possible that you're in a country that measures from January 1st but your device thinks you're in the United States?

  • That's weird, in Italy (and in the rest of Europe I believe) your age would be considered 48. For the same reason toddler age is measured in months until they reach one year of life.

  • You are 48 years, 9 months and 25 days old. hehe. By the way if you're in search of a dependable writing service provider online, look no further than https://www.topwritersreview.com/reviews/hirewriters/ this website offers a plethora of valuable information that can assist you in selecting the most suitable platform to complete your college projects successfully.
