This won't help you, but it seems very strange. One of the things I like the most with the 1040 is that you can almost see every little change of direction caused by potholes etc ..... Years ago back in the EDGE 305 days, there where often some generel misplacements of the tracks. in one direction. 

If its hard or software is hard to tell, but not at general software problem, mine is spot on.

Hello, I have had exactly the same problem for 10 days.
In fact, the difference in altitude recorded is insane. The climpro and the navigation crashes.
The 1040 reset has not changed anything.
Have you found a solution?
